Screens and Screen Enclosures

What's the point in living in Florida if you can't enjoy the outdoors? We love Florida and everything she has to offer except for those pesky insects!

Screening in your patio, lanai, or building a whole screened-in pool enclosure will definitely allow you to enjoy the outdoors and avoid as many of those insects as possible.

Screens

There are multiple types of screens out there to choose from however, we always recommend a 20x20 screen also known as the 'No See Um' screen. The Phifer 20x20 is american made and under typical Florida conditions it has a life span of 7-10 years. This screen has such a tight weave in the mesh that small insects that you can feel but not see, can't quite make it through the screen. That is why this screen is also called the 'No See Um' screen.

Pool Enclosures

You might not be sure if you need an enclosure or not. But we can't honestly think of any reason why you wouldn't. There are so many advantages to having pool enclosures. An enclosure can help reduce the heat, keep the leaves out of your pool, protect you from all the insects, and last but not least, a screened in pool enclosure gives an effect of an extension to your house.
